Meneropong LGBT Dalam Perspektif Wawasan Dunia Kristen Dan Peran Pastoral Gereja Masa Kini

Abstract
The LGBT movement has developed in a very systematic and massive way worldwide. This group tirelessly fights for widespread recognition and equality of rights from the government, social institutions, and religious organizations. Not only the government and society have differing views in responding to this issue, but the churches have also been divided in addressing this phenomenon; some are very open, while others are very harsh in rejecting it. This basis of consideration makes the church's stance very complex. The church's stance on this issue has far-reaching implications for the life of the church itself as well as its mission in the world. This paper is written using a descriptive qualitative method with a literature approach to provide a biblical worldview on the issue of LGBT. The results of this study show that the varying attitudes of the church do not diminish the church's important role in reaching out to LGBT survivors. The church is called to become an accepting community, a means of guidance, to develop integrative and participatory services, to be a center of social transformation, and to faithfully serve them based on the example of Christ in truth and love.

Abstrak
Pergerakan kelompok LGBT telah berkembang sangat sistematis dan masif di seluruh dunia. Kelompok ini gigih berjuang untuk mendapatkan pengakuan dan kesetaraan hak secara luas dari pemerintah, lembaga masyarakat, maupun agama. Bukan hanya pemerintah dan masyarakat yang mengalami perbedaan pandangan dalam menanggapi masalah ini, namun gereja-gereja telah terbelah dalam menyikapi fenomena ini, ada yang bersikap sangat terbuka, namun di sisi lain ada juga sangat keras menolaknya. Dasar pertimbangan ini membuat sikap gereja menjadi sangat kompleks. Sikap gereja terhadap masalah ini berimplikasi sangat luas bagi kehidupan gereja itu sendiri maupun tugasnya di dunia ini. Tulisan ini dikerjakan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan literatur untuk memberikan worldview yang alkitabiah terhadap masalah LGBT. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bervariasinya sikap gereja tidak menghilangkan peran penting gereja untuk menjangkau para penyintas LGBT. Gereja terpanggil menjadi kelompok penerima (accepting community), menjadi sarana pembimbingan, mengembangkan pelayanan integratif dan partisipatoris, menjadi pusat transformasi sosial, dan setia melayani mereka berdasarkan keteladanan Kristus dalam kebenaran dan kasih.
