Penginjilan di Kalangan Generasi Z dan Alpha: Tantangan dan Strategi Kontekstual

Abstract:
This article discusses contextual evangelism among Generation Z and Generation Alpha, who live in an era of digitalization, globalization, and value pluralism. These two generations possess unique characteristics, such as strong attachment to technology, concern for social issues, and a critical tendency toward traditional authority. However, they also face major challenges, including identity crises, technological distractions, and relativism of truth. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this article examines the theological principles of evangelism rooted in the Great Commission, as well as contextual strategies that can be applied, including digital media, relational approaches, social engagement, and the integration of technology in ministry. The findings indicate that the Gospel must be communicated in creative, relevant, and authentic ways in order to be received by Generations Z and Alpha without diminishing its essence. The church and evangelists are called to be creative, relevant, and sensitive to the needs of these generations, while firmly upholding the authority of God’s Word as the unshakable foundation. This article affirms that the church needs to be transformed—not by changing the Gospel, but by adapting its methods of communication—so that it remains effective in carrying out the Great Commission amidst the changes of the times.

Abstrak :
Artikel ini membahas penginjilan kontekstual kepada Generasi Z dan Generasi Alpha yang hidup dalam era digital, globalisasi, dan pluralisme nilai. Kedua generasi ini memiliki karakteristik unik, seperti keterikatan dengan teknologi, perhatian pada isu sosial, serta kecenderungan kritis terhadap otoritas tradisional. Namun, mereka juga menghadapi tantangan besar berupa krisis identitas, distraksi teknologi, dan relativisme kebenaran. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, artikel ini menelaah prinsip teologis penginjilan yang berakar pada Amanat Agung, serta strategi kontekstual yang dapat diterapkan, antara lain melalui media digital, pendekatan relasional, keterlibatan sosial, dan integrasi teknologi dalam pelayanan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Injil harus dikomunikasikan secara kreatif, relevan, dan autentik agar dapat diterima oleh Generasi Z dan Alpha tanpa mengurangi esensi kebenarannya. Gereja dan para penginjil dipanggil untuk kreatif, relevan, dan sensitif terhadap kebutuhan generasi ini, sambil tetap berpegang teguh pada otoritas firman Tuhan sebagai fondasi yang tidak tergoyahkan. Artikel ini menegaskan bahwa gereja perlu bertransformasi, tidak dengan mengubah Injil, tetapi dengan menyesuaikan metode penyampaian agar tetap efektif dalam melaksanakan Amanat Agung di tengah perubahan zaman.
